See proving Im actually trying to be nice to Americans and the wider community heres another Pro world post.

Govenor George Ryan the soon to be retiring govenor of Illinois has commuted all 164 men on death row to life sentences and the other 3 to 40 year sentences.
In effect disabeling the death penalty in chicago.

Heres His speech which outlines some of his thinking as well.

So for once it seems Im applauding the actions of an american politician, a republican no less. Now to work on getting the other 40 states with the death penalty to see the wisdom of Ryans actions.

Guess the only sad thing is that he waited till the end of his term in office to do this, a term thats seen 12 men die at the hands of the state of Illinois. How many of them were innocent as well?.

And the new govenor has attacked the move so dont expect Illinois to become the 13th state to abolish death penalties.

Ohh well we shouldnt be so harsh, he only killed 12 men, G.W. Bush got in over 260 in his time in office. Quite an achievement when the next best state killed 80.
But our george works hard to be the best he can be and takes no prisioners(Literally :P)
No matter if you were 17 and mentally disabled. George put the syringe in and HARD.

Shit, another thread on America, this one started out so promising and supportive of America and i did try, but somehow I've ended it abusing Bush.Again. God damnit. Well i wont change,so i guess we'll have to change Bush.

Actually raises another point how the fuck are we going to get rid of bush in 2004 ?.
If its a Liberman V Bush choice hell id even vote for Bush. Gores still an outside chance to return to the fray, then theres a bunch of far back possibilites, who could give it a shot, but are unlikely.

Ralph Nader would be a great US President, but he isnt Democrat nor Republican so wont win like the Greens/Democrats here down under.

WellI guess the whole being nice, ignoring politics idea didnt last to long. This is a great world isnt it. I love my country, i love this planet but fuck there are some fools and problems out there. Inequalities reign strife, lunatics in suits hold nuclear weapons at everyons heads and the rest of us in the middle slowly arn't beginning to give a fuck anymore thinking ' why bother whats the point'. now im optimistic enough (or is that egotistical enough maybe?) that i still think we can change this planet for a better place. That we can MAKE IT BETTER FOR ALL.
I see a point but its not always enough to keep getting me out of bed in the mornings (afternoons).

BTW. If your someone who spends a long time at the PC (Like me), and has always wanted a 3D VR world on the PC (like me) then theres a new solution and definatly the most promising ive seen in a long time. About 5 years ago(god has it been that long?) someone made a game based on Doom where you could run through doors to open new programs for windows. A 3D desktop of sorts. Well 3DNA is here and doing the job in a very stylish way, letting you build virtual worlds, put your applications in place and run around to your hearts content, using it as a 3D operating system, or even just to play a game of hoops.
Cheap but fun entertainment and one step closer to the brilliant ideas that made me a net junkie in Tom Clancys Net Force VR systems. I mean this is the year 2003 where the fuck is VR anyway, werent we promised it in the 80's ?
