The posts have been long and lean of late i know. The reason for that is two fold.
1) The Bushfires
As you know, over 530 houses have gone up in flames here in Canberra. And as a resident of Curtin which lost 3 houses only a street away, we saw some of the worst of it. Saturday was a tough day, but the house still stands(not our 'homo' as Federal Minister for Territories Wilson Tuckey managed to spell it).

After the fire and the heat afterwards, with a non sitting parliament and the ugly, inevitable, walk to war its hard to get the effort and energy up to post more notes. But the fight will go on dont worry.

2) I have a job :)
And where does a political junkie like myself get a job ?
Parliament house of course. As a cameraman/audio operator no less.
Yes when your faviourate pollies get up to speak im the bored guy behind the persplex turning on their mike, or sititng in the basement framing up the shot on John Howards bald spot.

The work is 9-5 thus far, a real struggle to keep to after spending 8 months as a night Owl, up till dawn and all that entails. But with the smell of a clean suit and a ton of coffee each morning up slowly managing to work my way to the hosue on the hill. Hell the sense of walking the corridors of power with actual authoritisation , past the pms office, throwing eggs at the nationals and all the fun that entails is enough to get one to work most days :).

So with some luck my posts should focus more and more on politics, especially from within the chambers and comitties which i will have to sit and watch, day after day after day.
Well not too much one hopes.

Anyway ill end this now as the crickets back on soon, and the english are losing. Ahh life is good.

Notice the boxes with Made in the USA (and sticking tape covering the bottom left of each box)? Problem is every box there was Made in China.
What a real Patrioit. Makes a mockery of the title written on the boxes. But then again having Bush as president makes it a mockery already.
